Over the past 10 years, Addenbrookes Abroad has established four global health partnerships across Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. Their volunteers have improved healthcare delivered to millions of patients in over 59 countries.

In this British Institute in Eastern Africa (BIEA) lecture, Professor Yenkong Ngangjoh Hodu (University of Manchester) will explore how the 2016 UK referendum and Brexit will affect African countries. In particular, looking at how existing trade relationships between the EU and different Africa regions - such as Economic Partnership Agreements, and Euro-Mediterranean FTA - will respond to the departure of the UK and the EU? And what are the challenges and opportunities available to African countries?

This workshop seeks to explore how conservation organisations should position themselves with respect to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It forms part of a broader Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) project under Professor Bhaskar Vira (Department of Geography, University of Cambridge).
