The UKRI has recently launched a new round of GCRF funding. This Collective Program consists of a number of calls for research projects that directly benefit developing countries.  There are six portfolio areas and available funding is between £ 1 million and £4.75 million (further details below).

These are very exciting opportunities, but they require a good understanding of priorities behind the schemes. Convened by Dr Anna Cieslik (School Research Facilitator for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences), this session will cover information about GCRF funding priorities, the current and upcoming calls, and the application procedures and pitfalls  including information shared at the ESRC Town Hall meeting on 7th February 2019.

The session will include the contribution of two recipients of GCRF funding – Dr Minna Sunikka-Blank (Architecture) and Dr Nicki Kindersley (History), with research projects in India and South Sudan – as well as of Cambridge Global Challenges SRI and the GCRF Team at the Research Operations Office.
