International Development Research @ Cambridge

 

The workshop theme is Scopes and Challenges for the development of novel antimicrobial agents from Ayurvedic medicinal plants to combat the problem of antimicrobial resistance.

The workshop is held jointly by Jadavpur University, India and University of East London, UK.

Objective

  • To develop cutting-edge skills in drug discovery
  • to foster research collaboration between UK and India
  • to develop networking opportunities among academic and industrial researchers.

The workshops will cover the areas of current issues of antimicrobial resistance, scores and challenges of herbs used in traditional medicine with special reference to Ayurveda for drug development.

Eligibility

Early career researchers from medicine, pharmacology, microbiology, phytochemistry as well as healthcare professionals.

Funding level

The Workshop is fully supported by a Researcher Links grant under the Newton Bhabha Fund.
