Bioengineering; Mechanobiology; Large cell population dynamics; Cancer metastases; Wound healing; Department of Engineering; School of Technology

Dr Alexandre Kabla is a Senior Lecturer and a Research Group Leader at the Department of Engineering and a Fellow of Emmanuel College.

Alexandre researches how Physics and Mechanics concepts can explain subcellular processes that lead to macroscopically coordinated behaviours, such as the cell migration and rearrangement patterns observed in diseases like cancer metastasis and wound healing.

Cambridge Global Challenges is a Strategic Research Initiative of the University of Cambridge that aims to enhance the contribution of its research towards addressing global challenges and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
