International Development Research @ Cambridge

What constitutes a ‘good’ policy is conditioned not only by technology and financial factors but also by social norms and values, institutions, geopolitics, public trust and history. The talk is part of the "In Search of ‘Good’ Energy Policy" Research Group, which focuses on energy policy from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The "In Search of ‘Good’ Energy Policy" Research Group explores energy policy themes from different disciplinary perspectives - economics, history, philosophy, theology, politics, law, anthropology, psychology, engineering - with the aim of identifying principles and processes for ‘good’ energy policy making.

The CRASSH Research Groups programme of which the "In Search of ‘Good’ Energy Policy" Research Group is part supports this and other groups of Cambridge graduate students and faculty members working together with a common interdisciplinary research interest. Click here for the full past Seminar Series audios and separate Speaker Interview videos.

A sandwich lunch is provided from 12-12.30pm in the Atrium of the Alison Richard Building before the seminar begins, which is open to all and no registration is required. The speaker will present for around 30 minutes, followed by the respondent and then a Q&A session with the audience members. If you are unable to attend the talk feel free to drop by for the lunch and meet the speaker. You can also send in your comments and questions to be posed to the speaker in advance.
